I am never going to look at a pair of business socks the same way again.
Auds and I watched a bunch more Flight of the Conchords episodes last night, and yes, it has definitely grown on me. There were a couple of lines that made me laugh harder than I have in a very long time. You know that completely goober laugh, where you’re laughing so hard you’re no longer concerned what you sound like? You just laugh so hard that you know you sound like an idiot, but you don’t care, because you just can’t stop laughing, and it starts to hurt after a while? Yep, that was me.
And it was a silly, throwaway line. Bret, saying “Oh yeah, my favourite box!”. I don’t know the name of the episode, but I’ll try to look it up and let you know. The fact that he might have some not so favourite boxes that his mother hadn’t sent over from New Zealand just slayed me. And then he was sitting in it watching TV, and it had a cup of tea and a biscuit in it!
And for those who haven’t heard their song Business Time, tune in to Triple-J radio, either locally if you’re in .au, or over the Interwebs here, and they’re bound to play it soon. Or, just cruise over to YouTube and watch an Evil Pirate copy here.
And yes. I am wearing business socks today. That’s because it’s Business Time.
