Ok, so VMware server v1.0.8 complained that the virtual server Sun provided for the Sun 7000 series simulator was ‘created by a version with more features’ or something. So, I tried to download the newer version, 2.0. No joy. The page for the download appears to be entirely content free. As in
<html><head/><body/></html>
I even tried using lynx. No go. It’s probably some funky piece of Javascript, rather than a real link.
Which sucks. I love that VMware server is provided for free. It would be even better if I could actually, you know, download it.
So no update on the 7000 series for now.
