I’ve added a couple of features to the site and felt it was time to share another photo with you all.
I’m headed to the the snow in a few weeks, so I was looking over my photos from when I went to Canada earlier in the year. I loved Canada and really want to go back sometime, but for now I’ll have to content myself with more local slopes. This shot is from Fernie in British Columbia taken with my Nikon 5000 digicam.
You may have also noticed that I’ve added an External Links box on the right. This is so that I can share some of my favourite sites and add to the whole connectedness things that makes sites like Google actually function. I’m still playing with the default Plone capabilities even though I’m not 100% keen on how they work, so I might end up adding some custom code so that it does what I want. I’ve also added syndication capabilities to this diary which can be accessed via this link. I’ll probably find some RSS icons and add a proper link once I’ve fiddled with it some more. Plone doesn’t seem to have great default RSS feeds, so again there might be call for custom code.
Not much else to mention at the moment. I’m ramping up at the new gig which looks like it’ll be pretty hectic in the not too distant future. It’s all good fun though. I’ve also been hanging out at a local club a bit on Friday nights, getting to know the people there and generally just winding down from the working week. The rest of the time I’m trying to get my domestic chores under control from so many months of neglect. Progress is slower than anticipated, but at least it’s progress.
